About this Course

The Walnut Creek Basketball Training Academy is a co-ed skill-focused afternoon program for youth ages 8–15, held Monday through Thursday at the Foothill Middle School Gymnasium. Led by Foothill Middle School Athletic Director Jared Cox, this clinic-style academy is built around individual development, fundamentals, and competitive play in a structured environment. Jared brings a proven track record of developing basketball players through positive coaching and high energy. In his time at Foothill, he has led multiple teams to deep postseason runs and created a culture of inclusive, fun-filled hoops that focuses on empowering each and every athlete on and off the court. Whether your athlete is picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to sharpen their game heading into a school or club season, the Academy meets every player where they are. Two divisions run simultaneously — the Development Division (ages 8–11) and the Competitive Division (ages 12–15) — ensuring every camper receives age-appropriate instruction and competition at the right level. Sessions are designed to be challenging, fun, and fast-paced, with an emphasis on building real skills that translate directly to game situations. Program runs 2:00–4:00pm. Ages 8–15. $100 per week. 7 weeks throughout the summer.
