About this Course

Enjoy a relaxing summer evening as we paint scenic landscapes inspired by the warmth and color of July. Taking place on the International Day of Friendship, this paint and sip class offers a welcoming opportunity to unwind with others. Enjoy complimentary drinks and light refreshments while you create a cheerful summer landscape watercolor. During class, students will learn how to paint coastal summer scenes using approachable watercolor techniques. Through guided instruction, participants will practice capturing sky gradients, clouds, flowers, plants, water, and other simple elements of summertime scenery. Students will explore layering transparent colors, building depth, and shaping natural forms to bring a peaceful outdoor view to life on paper. The workshop will include: • Warm up exercises to build confidence with watercolor techniques • Step by step breakdowns for painting common landscape elements • Guidance on composing a balanced and inviting summer scene • Instruction on adding finishing details, textures, and natural highlights • Time to complete a mini watercolor landscape (approximately 6×9) The class will work with a sunlit, summer inspired palette including ocean blues, natural greens, warm browns and bright wildflower tones. Level: Beginner friendly and welcoming to those new to watercolor. Also great for students with prior experience who want to refine landscape painting skills.
