About this Course

Meet at Bedford Gallery to enjoy a volunteer docent led private tour of the current exhibition on display: Cultural Currency: Contemporary Art from the Riemer Collection. The group of artwork displays the innovative ways artists use money as a medium to expand its worth beyond a predetermined denomination. Each artist in the exhibition investigates preconceived definitions of monetary value, meticulously repurposing bills and coins into exquisite, precise artworks. After the approximate hour-long tour, walk over to Katy's Creek to enjoy a delicious brunch and lively discussion about the artwork with fellow participants. Cost of registration includes the Bedford tour, main dish, nonalcoholic beverage and gratuity.
